This Privacy Policy explains how grocO ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use groco.pk (the "Site") to order groceries for delivery.

Information we collect

When you create an account, place an order, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and order history. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, or other payment card details, card payments are handled entirely by JazzCash, our payment processor, and grocO never sees or stores this information.

We also automatically collect some technical information when you browse the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, through cookies and similar tools including the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), which helps us understand how visitors use the Site and measure the effectiveness of our advertising.

How we use your information

We use your information to process and deliver your orders, send order confirmations and delivery updates (including via WhatsApp, if you provide a phone number), respond to customer support requests, maintain your account and saved addresses, and improve our products, service, and advertising. We may also use your email or phone number to send you promotional offers, which you can opt out of at any time.

Who we share your information with

We share your information only as needed to run grocO: JazzCash, to process card payments (they receive your order amount and reference, never your saved account details); our delivery riders, who receive your name, delivery address, and phone number to complete your delivery; Meta (Facebook/Instagram), through the Meta Pixel, for advertising and analytics purposes; and Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your delivery area and cart, and measure how our Site and ads perform. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Site may not work correctly if you do.

Data retention

We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time by contacting us, subject to any records we're required to keep by law.

Your rights

You can view and update your name, phone number, and saved addresses at any time from your account page. You can also contact us to request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.

Children's privacy

grocO is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypting data in transit and restricting who on our team can access customer data. No method of storing or transmitting data online is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above.
